Get Fit Quickly with These Fitness Challenges: Beginner Workouts for CrossFit

Introduction

CrossFit is a great way to get in shape. It's competitive, but it also teaches you how to push yourself and stay motivated. If you'd like some help getting started with CrossFit, check out these beginner workouts from our friends at CrossFit.com:

Push ups

Push ups are a great exercise for the chest, triceps and shoulders. They will also help to strengthen your core muscles.

Pushups are an excellent way to build strength in your back as well, making them ideal for anyone who suffers from back pain or stiffness.

Pull ups

Pull ups are a great way to work your back and arms, but they're also a great challenge for your body.

Pull up bar: There are many ways you can do pull-ups if you have access to a bar (e.g., in the gym). A simple one is hanging from the doorframe while holding onto it with both hands. Another option is hanging from another piece of equipment with one hand gripping onto both sides of the bar, which will allow for an easier grip than just grabbing onto one side only would be able to provide without much work at all!

Rope climb: If you don't have access to any sort of pull-up apparatus, rope climbing might be something that works well for practicing this movement as long as there aren't any obstacles in front of where we're going so we don't fall off when doing our reps!

Squats

  • Squats are a great exercise for your legs, back and core. You can do them with a barbell or dumbbells, but they're also great with resistance bands and kettlebells.

  • If you don't have access to equipment at home (like free weights), you could use the floor as an alternative to squatting on top of furniture or chairs—just make sure it's solid and stable so that it doesn't come crashing down!

Lunges

Lunges are a great way to build leg strength and core strength. They also work out your hips, thighs and glutes which are all important muscles when it comes to fitness.

A single arm push up

If you're looking to challenge yourself, the single arm push up is a great way to do so. You can perform this exercise with one arm or two arms, and it's easy enough that even people with limited strength or flexibility can get through it. If you're working on your triceps, try performing one-arm push ups with both legs on the floor at once—it'll help build up those muscles as well!

  • One: Lie down on your back, legs together and hands behind head (or hold onto something). Slowly lift one leg off the ground until only your foot is touching ground; keep other leg straight out in front of you (one inch away from parallel). Don't let hips come off mat!

  • Two: Lower slowly back down into starting position while bringing up other leg into same position as first one; repeat process until entire body has been lifted off mat without losing balance or falling over backwards

Squat thrusts with hip extension

  • Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and your hands on your hips.

  • With a slight bend in the knees, lower yourself into a squat position until your thighs are parallel to the floor (or as close as you can get).

  • Then thrust upwards using only your hips—don’t use any weight! You should feel this movement through each of your legs individually; that is, one leg at a time will feel like it is moving independently of the other leg (which may be helpful if you have trouble balancing). Make sure that when you reach maximum height in this movement, both feet are off the ground at all times!
